Founded in February 2007 by technocrat mechanical engineer J. Devdas, along with his wife Bhuvaneshwari Devdas, JDS Food Products Pvt Ltd is a Chennai-based food manufacturing company rooted in South Indian culinary heritage. The company was established with a vision to produce safe, clean, tasty, and high-quality traditional food products, while supporting rural livelihoods and local communities.
Our Heritage – Kanchipuram
Known as the city of a thousand temples, Kanchipuram a temple city is synonymous with traditional handmade Appalam also known as Pappadum / Poppadum / Pappad. Situated amidst this cultural heartland, JDS Food Products Pvt Ltd operates its manufacturing facilities by blending traditional recipes with modern hygienic practices, preserving the legacy of Madras Plain Appalam also known as Pappadum / Poppadum / Pappad with uncompromised quality.

Our Appalam Products, also known as Pappadum / Poppadum / Pappad products are re-processed, cooked and packed (on a ready-to-eat basis by our overseas clients in UK namely, TAYTO group, ABF, AB world foods, Pathak’s, Kolak Snack Foods (Euro Snacks), Yummy yum, BW catering, SPL.
JDS Appalam also known as Pappadam. Pappad/ Poppadam products largely distributed and available in the form of ready to eat basis at UK based chains of supermarkets namely TESCO, TESCO express, Marks & Spencer’s, Morrisons, Asda, & Yummy yum brands / food manufacturing companies.
JDS Special Orid Flour also known as Urid Flour / Urad Flour / Black Gram Flour Varieties (Dry -White – Quality) are exported to many Snack food production companies in the Europe, UK, Australia and in the Middle East.
In addition to its own brands, JDS Food Products Pvt Ltd offers private labelling services, supplying supermarkets, distributors, and bulk buyers worldwide for all products (Pulses also known as Dhal / Lentils – Appalam Products, also known as Pappadum / Poppadum / Pappad and Sevai varieties namely Rice Sevai, Ragi Sevai, Multi Millet Sevai, Red Rice Sevai, Multi Grain Sevai.
